This program provides assurance that J2ME applications running on
Motorola iDEN handsets meet compatibility, quality and usability
standards set by Motorola, Inc. The purpose of the Developer Handbook is to provide the iDEN J2ME developer community with detailed information about the certification process and the specific tests that will be run once you submit your J2ME application for certification testing. All tests executed as part of the certification program are fully documented in the Developer Handbook and are available for Download. The Handbook also provides detailed descriptions and test tips to assist you with your pre-testing prior to application submission for the logo. Product Quality Partners, Inc. is an independent software testing company chosen by Motorola to execute the Motorola Application Certification Program. All program specifics including processes, test design and program designs have been approved and are enforced by Motorola, Inc. What is the Motorola Application Certification Program for J2ME Applications Running on the Motorola iDEN handsets? The Motorola Application Certification Program is designed to allow end users to develop J2ME applications that will provide a consistent user interface and high quality standard of operation, to the extent possible. The "Motorola Compatible" logo signifies that your J2ME application has passed a set of certification tests as defined by Motorola, Inc. Certification test lab. Please note that each service provider may require additional test criteria and/or certification programs for J2ME applications submitted.
