How do I submit the application?

Please email the file, user documentation, and any other pertinent files, in the form of a single .zip file to motorola@qpqa.com. Also, please reference the Checklist for details on the necessary submission items. For further information on WinZip, please see www.winzip.com.

What file type should the User Documentation be submitted as?

User documentation should be submitted in the form of a .pdf or HTML only. Microsoft Word documents will not be accepted.

How long do the tests take and how will I know my results?

Complete testing for an application will take approximately 3 days for a single local application and 5 days for a single network enabled application. A final report will be sent electronically to the address supplied as the "Email distribution for reports" on the online submission form.

Can I submit new versions?

Once the certification tests start, no changes can be made to that version of the application. Point releases or versions that include bug fixes only can be submitted for retest. Versions that include new features will need to be resubmitted for a full test to obtain the logo for the new version of your application.

Once I meet certification, how do I get the logo?

Once certification has been met, Motorola will be notified. Motorola will then contact you regarding the "Motorola Compatible Logo".

What if I want my application to be compliant for a specific network?

Please note that each carrier may conduct additional requirements and/or certification programs for J2ME applications submitted to the program. In order for your application to be distributed to specific service subscribers, please be sure to comply with carriers programs.
